⁶And on another Sabbath He entered into the synagogue and taught. And there was a man there, and his right hand was withered.

⁷And the scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find reason to accuse Him.

⁸But He knew their reasonings and said to the man who had the withered hand, Rise and stand in the midst. And he rose up and stood.

⁹And Jesus said to them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save a life or to destroy it?

¹⁰And looking around at all of them, He said to him, Stretch out your hand. And he did, and his hand was restored.

¹¹But they were filled with rage and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
